My Budgets
User Need
The My Budgets module is designed to organize your financial flows through a system of isolated workspaces. It fulfills the need to clearly separate personal savings, family expenses, and business finances, while providing quick access to adding transactions and smart analytics. This solves the problem of a “messy” ledger where different areas of life are mixed in a single transaction feed.
Availability by roles
- Any member (Admin/Member/Owner): Can customize their personal display order of budgets and hide unnecessary spaces for themselves.
- Administrator (Admin) and Owner: Have the exclusive right to access budget settings, use Money AI, and initiate the workspace deletion process.
- Member: Has read-only access to settings and does not see the Money AI button unless they have administrative rights in other budgets.
Note: Hiding and sorting are personal settings. Your changes do not affect how the budget list is displayed to other participants in a shared workspace.
Where to find it
UI Path: The module opens automatically immediately after authorization. If you are in another section of the application, tap the Money tab (wallet icon) in the bottom navigation bar. If you do not have any budgets yet, the app will automatically redirect you to the creation screen.
Steps: How to manage the budget list
Display settings (Edit Mode)
- While on the Budgets screen, tap the gray floating Budgets button (pencil icon) in the bottom right corner.
- To change the order: press and hold the six-dot icon on the budget card and drag it up or down.
- To hide a budget: tap the Eye icon. The card will become semi-transparent.
- Tap the green checkmark button to save the changes and exit edit mode.
Quick transaction addition
- In normal mode (when the Budgets button is gray), find the card of the desired budget.
- Tap the red Add expense button (minus icon) to record an expense, or the green Add income button (plus icon) to record an income.
Canceling budget deletion
- If you see a card with a red timer and the text Deleting…, tap it.
- In the Cancel deletion? window that appears, tap the Confirm button to instantly restore full access to your data.
Expected Result
- When entering edit mode: The interface changes—management tools appear (Drag-and-Drop, hiding), and a Create budget button is displayed at the top of the list to create a new workspace.
- When canceling deletion: A green popup notification (Toast) saying Budget deletion cancelled appears, and the budget card returns to its normal appearance.
- When adding operations via shortcut: The new transaction screen opens instantly with the budget already selected.
Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
How do I change the order of my budgets on the main screen? Tap the floating Budgets button with the pencil icon in the bottom right corner to enter edit mode. Hold the six-dot icon to the right of the budget card and drag it to the desired position. Tap the green checkmark button to save.
What happens if I hide a budget? Hiding removes the budget from your active list to declutter the interface. This is a personal setting: the budget will disappear only for you, and it will remain visible to other members. You can unhide it at any time via edit mode.
Can I recover a budget if I accidentally started deleting it? Yes, you have 48 hours until the data is permanently deleted. During this period, the budget is in Read-Only mode, and a red timer is displayed on its card. Simply tap the card and select Confirm in the popup window to restore access.
Why don’t I see the Money AI button? The Money AI assistant is available only to users who have the Admin role in at least one active budget. If you only have the Member role everywhere, the button will not be displayed.
Why do I get an error when trying to delete a budget? For security reasons, the system prevents deletion if the budget is hidden, if there are other active members or admins, or if there are pending invitations. You must first remove members and revoke invites.
Possible Errors
When working with the budget list, the server may return the following system errors (they will appear as a red Toast notification):
- You cannot delete a hidden budget: Occurs when attempting to delete a budget that is hidden in your interface. Make it visible first.
- There are other active admins in this budget. Please downgrade or freeze them first: Security error. A budget cannot be deleted while there are other active administrators.
- There are other active members in the budget: A budget cannot be deleted while other members are present.
- You have pending invites: Before deleting a budget, you must revoke all sent but not yet accepted invitations.
- Only admins can cancel deletion: An attempt by a participant with the Member role to restore a budget whose deletion was initiated by an administrator.
- User is already a member: Appears if you try to accept an invitation to a budget of which you are already a member.
