Small Metrics is a tool for controlling your financial health, answering two main questions: “How much do I really earn?” and “Where do I lose money?”.

The main problem with classic tracking is mixing personal spending, family purchases, and business expenses in a single feed. We solve this problem through the concept of Isolated Spaces. One application adapts to any scenario: solo (freelancer), family, or small business. Financial data from different worlds never intersects.

Additionally, Small Metrics uses modern web technologies (PWA). You do not need to go to the App Store or Google Play—the application installs on your device instantly, takes up no extra memory, and always updates automatically in the background.

Available to all users Installing the application on your device and creating basic workspaces (for yourself, your family, or your business) is available to absolutely all registered users, regardless of their role.

Where to find it

To install the application, simply open its web version in the browser of your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Additional personalized system prompts for installation can be found in the app menu: Profile -> Install App.

Steps: How to get started

1. Install the app on your smartphone or PC:
   • On iOS, open the site strictly in the Safari browser, tap the Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up), and select Add to Home Screen.
   • On Android or PC, open the site in the Chrome/Edge browser. Tap the pop-up prompt Install app (or find the Add to Home screen option in the three-dot menu).
2. Choose your scenario: Decide what you need the tracking for right now—controlling personal finances, a transparent family budget, or preventing cash gaps in your business.
3. Create a space: Create your first isolated workspace (Budget) and customize the categories to your needs.
4. Invite partners (optional): If you are managing shared finances, send invitations to family members or business partners to monitor cash flows together.

Expected Result

After completing these steps, the Small Metrics icon will appear on the home screen of your phone or computer. The app will launch quickly, in full-screen mode, and without browser interface elements. Your data will be neatly distributed across secure workspaces, guaranteeing crystal-clear clarity of income and expenses.

Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)

How do I install the app if it is not in the App Store or Google Play? We use PWA technology. Simply open the website in your browser (Safari for iOS, Chrome for Android) and select the system function “Add to Home Screen”.

Can I track business and family finances in one account? Yes. Small Metrics uses a system of isolated workspaces (Budgets). You can create a separate space for business and another for family—their data, transactions, and members will never intersect.

Do I need to download updates manually? No. Thanks to PWA technology, the app is always up to date and updates automatically in the background.

Possible Errors

The onboarding process is as simple as possible, but system limitations may occur in some cases when installing the app:

• No install button on iPhone/iPad: Occurs if you opened the site via a third-party browser (Chrome, Telegram, Safari within another app). Due to strict Apple limitations, PWA installation on iOS is possible exclusively through the native Safari browser.
• No pop-up prompt on Android: If the prompt did not appear automatically, simply tap the browser’s system menu (three vertical dots in the upper right corner) and select the Add to Home screen option manually.
