Task Tracker
Business need
The built-in tasks module is your personal digital assistant, designed to organize everyday chaos. It allows you to group affairs into folders, attach documents and photos to them, and flexibly manage deadlines through a smart calendar. This is a single space that helps you focus on what is important without overwhelming you with unnecessary interfaces.
Availability
Available to all authorized users.
The tasks module is a completely independent personal space. Architecturally, it is in no way connected to financial budgets. The financial roles of an administrator or member do not apply here, and no one else has access to your to-do lists.
Location
The task management module is built directly into the main navigation menu of the application:
- Tap the Tasks tab on the bottom navigation bar.
- The main screen of the module will open before you, featuring status switches, a list of categories, and bottom tabs for viewing modes.
Instructions
The module offers several key sections and features. Here is how to work with them:
- To navigate between active and completed affairs, use the To do and Finished switches at the top of the screen.
- To view tasks by date, switch to the Calendar tab at the bottom of the screen. The Recurring tab is currently in development.
- To create a new folder, tap the floating Categories button with a pencil icon, and then select Create category. Enter a name in the Title field and tap Save.
- To create a new task, tap the Add task button. Fill in the required multi-line Description field, select a folder in the Category field, and set a deadline in the Deadline field.
- To attach files, use the Select file or Take photo buttons. You can upload up to 10 files, up to 10 MB each. Tap Save to save.
- To complete a task, tap the round smart checkbox icon to the left of the title. A one-second delay will trigger before moving the task to the completed list.
- To view all attached media files or long text, tap the Show more button with a paperclip icon on the task card.
Expected result
When saving a task or category, the text on the Save button disappears and is replaced by a white loading indicator. Upon successful saving, the modal window smoothly closes.
Green success notifications appear on the screen: Task created successfully or Category saved successfully. If you delete a category, the system applies safe deletion, automatically moving all its tasks to the systemic Uncategorized folder.
Questions and answers
Can I format the text in the task description?
Yes, the description field supports basic Markdown formatting. You can highlight important words in bold by using the special button in the toolbar above the keyboard or by wrapping the text in double asterisks.
What happens to the tasks if I delete their category?
Your tasks are safe. If you delete a custom category, like Work, the tasks themselves are not deleted. They automatically move to the systemic Uncategorized folder, where you can easily reassign them.
Can my budget partner see my tasks?
No. The application strictly separates financial spaces and task management. Even if you share a family budget with a partner, your tasks module remains private and isolated.
How does the smart completion checkbox work?
The app uses a smart checkbox to protect against accidental taps. When you tap the completion checkbox, a one-second delay is triggered. If you tapped accidentally, just tap the checkbox again within that second, and the task will not move to the completed list.
How does the Calendar group my tasks?
The smart calendar automatically scans all your category folders and groups tasks with deadlines into convenient blocks. You will see sections like Outdated for missed tasks, Today, Tomorrow, and specific future dates.
