Delete Note
Business need
The deletion feature allows you to maintain order in your medical journal. If you accidentally created a duplicate, entered incorrect data, or find a record no longer relevant, you can permanently erase it. This helps keep only accurate and important information about your health at your fingertips.
Availability
Available to all authorized users.
The wellness journal is a strictly personal space. No one, including administrators of your shared financial budgets, has access to your medical records or can delete them.
Location
Deletion is only available inside the edit screen of an existing note:
- Tap the Health tab on the bottom navigation bar.
- Select the Notes item on the health modules screen.
- In the notes list, tap the card of the record you wish to delete.
Instructions
To permanently delete a medical record, follow these steps:
- On the edit screen, look at the top right corner.
- Tap the red trash bin icon.
- A modal window will appear with the title Delete Note? and warning text stating that the action cannot be undone.
- Tap the red Delete button to confirm.
- If you change your mind, tap the gray Cancel button to close the pop-up window.
Expected result
After tapping the Delete button, the modal window and the edit screen will instantly close. You will be returned to the notes list, which will automatically update.
A green pop-up notification with the text Note deleted successfully will appear at the top of the screen. The record itself is physically and permanently deleted from the database. Since notes do not have photos attached, the process is instantaneous and requires no media storage cleanup.
Questions and answers
Can I recover a health note after I delete it?
No. The system always shows a warning window before deletion. When you tap the delete button, the data is physically erased from the servers. There is no archive or recycle bin for recovery in the Health module.
Can I delete multiple health notes at once?
No, bulk deletion is not provided in the application. To avoid accidental erasure of important medical data, you need to enter each note individually and delete it via the trash bin icon.
Will deleting a health note affect my tasks or budget?
No. The Health module operates completely independently. Deleting a record from the wellness journal will have absolutely no impact on your financial data or to-do lists.
Why don’t I see the trash bin icon when creating a new note?
The trash bin icon only appears when you open an existing note for editing. If you are in the mode of creating a new entry, there is nothing to delete yet - you can simply tap the Back arrow to exit without saving.
Possible errors
Since the process does not require filling in fields, client-side validation errors do not apply here. Only system and network failures are possible:
- System error notification - may appear as a red pop-up if the internet connection is lost during deletion.
- Not found notification - occurs if the note was already deleted earlier from another synchronized device.
- Given token not valid notification - means your session has expired and you need to log into the app again.
