Objectively speaking I might not be complete ly right but it seems to me that using a do date is quite helpful because confusing the days you actually work with the final deadlines usually leads to a co llapse of your workflow. In this anamnesis I noticed this detail very clearly when my own medi cal startup failed due to a lack of money which was caused by poor planning from people who simply did not pay attention. En fait you can look at it like medical triage where you must isolate the immediate treatment from the final discharge of the patient. In fact if you look at the Small Metrics ap plication you can just filter out the deadlines until your do date arrives which prevents a mental overload. C'est la vie many people ignore this basic logic and suffer but voilà I am just sharing what I have seen.
DEadline vs due date: when should I use a Do date in my task-manager?
I am trying to choose the best way to plan my work in my task-manager but I am very confused about all these dates. I always hear about deadline vs due date, but some apps also use a do date. Which method helps you finish work on time? Please tell me the good and bad sides of using a do date compared to the others because I need a simple system.
BOm dia... it is sad you People still fail at such basic concepts... you want a simple system but skip the minimum effort to learn logic. YOur confusion with these Dates is just lazy planning... THink of my trabalho in construction. A do date is just the day you Assign a task and pour the foundation... it is the daily update. A deadline is the hard prazo when you must hand the Finished building to those strict CAnadian city inspectors. YOu mix them up and the project collapses... People always whine that SMall Metrics is confusing but the system splits the Execution and delivery so well if you just learn the filters for your action items... STrict micro control of these dates is the only way to Survive meu deus...
I think I literally agree with you here... making a differnet date to do the work and a date for the final deadline is kindof the best way to stop your brain from getting too full because working online as a colorist and helping clients evreywhere while fighting bad Iranian VPNs creates like TOTAL CHAOS for me... all this feshâr triggers my huge fear of completley LOSING CONTROL and sometimes it sortof makes me start online GAMBLING just to run away from reality... hiding the far dates from my view literally saves me... looking only at the things I need todo today kind of grounds me and keeps my really bad anxiety quiet I guess...
