Quick Start
Getting started with the Small Metrics app is very simple. This process consists of basic registration and creating your first workspace — a Space.
Role Access: All Users Registration and Space creation are available to everyone. When you create a new Space, you automatically receive the Owner / Admin role within it.
1. Account Registration
To create an account, you only need an email address and a secure password.
- Open the Small Metrics app or navigate to the registration page in your browser.
- Enter your current Email and create a Password (minimum of 8 characters).
- Confirm the password by typing it again in the Confirm password field.
- Read the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then check the first box.
- Confirm that you are over 18 years old by checking the second box (mandatory requirement).
- Click the Sign up button.
2. Smart Default Settings
The Small Metrics system saves your time. At the moment of registration, the app automatically detects:
- Default Currency: The base currency is set based on your geolocation. All consolidated analytics will be calculated in this currency.
- Timezone: The system reads your device’s timezone. This is necessary to accurately record the time of transactions and trigger recurring payments correctly.
You can change these parameters at any time, as well as provide your First and Last Name, in the Profile -> General Settings section.
3. Creating Your First Space
Immediately after registration, you will be taken to an empty main screen. To start tracking your finances, you need to create a Space.
A Space is an isolated folder for your money (e.g., “Family”, “Personal Budget”, or “Business”).
- Click the Create space button in the center of the screen.
- In the Space Name field, enter a clear name (e.g., “My Budget”). This name will be visible to all members you invite in the future.
- Tap the icon selection field and choose a suitable visual symbol (home, wallet, car, etc.).
- Click the Save button.
The application will instantly transfer you inside the new space. You can now proceed to create categories and record your first income and expenses.
