How to add Small Metrics to the home screen of your phone or computer

Small Metrics uses modern PWA (Progressive Web App) technologies. This allows you to install the app on any device, bypassing traditional app stores (App Store, Google Play), saving memory, and ensuring automatic updates.

Role Access: Any Role App installation is a device-level setting. The instructions in the profile are available to absolutely all users.

Installing on iOS (iPhone and iPad)

Due to Apple’s operating system restrictions, installation on iOS is possible exclusively through the Safari browser.

  1. Open the web version of the app in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. In the bottom menu of the browser, tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow).
  3. Scroll down the menu that appears and select Add to Home Screen.
  4. In the upper right corner, tap the Add button.

The Small Metrics icon will appear on your device’s home screen. The app will open in full-screen mode without browser interface elements.

Installing on Android

On Android devices, the process is streamlined. It is recommended to use the Google Chrome browser.

  1. Open the web version of the app in the Chrome browser.
  2. A prompt may automatically appear at the bottom of the screen offering to Add to Home screen. Tap on it.
  3. If there is no prompt, tap the menu icon (three vertical dots) in the upper right corner of the browser.
  4. Select Install app or Add to Home screen.
  5. Confirm the installation in the pop-up window.

Installing on a Computer (Windows, macOS, Linux)

You can install Small Metrics as a full-fledged desktop application. This is especially convenient for business accounting and viewing wide charts.

  1. Open the web version in a browser with PWA support (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended).
  2. An installation icon (a monitor with a downward arrow) will appear in the browser’s address bar (on the right). Click on it.
  3. Confirm the action by clicking the Install button.

The app will open in its own window, and its icon will appear on your system’s taskbar or dock.

If you have already logged into your account via a browser, navigate to the Profile -> Install App menu.

The system will automatically detect your device:

  • For Android and PC, a quick install button will appear.
  • For iOS, a detailed step-by-step instruction with the necessary system icons will be displayed.
  • If the app is already successfully installed, the screen will show a confirmation status.
