Project Description:

Small Metrics is a rapidly growing financial health tracking platform with a single-codebase architecture (Flutter) and a high-performance Django backend. We rely heavily on containerization and cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless multi-platform synchronization and high availability. We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our AWS infrastructure, streamline our deployment pipelines, and ensure bank-grade security for our users’ data.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, scale, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, Route 53).
  • Optimize and manage containerized environments using Docker and Docker Compose for both local development and production.
  • Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for automated, zero-downtime deployments.
  • Manage database operations, automated backups, and disaster recovery strategies for PostgreSQL.
  • Configure and secure web servers (Nginx), manage SSL/TLS certificates, and oversee Cloudflare integrations.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Lead infrastructure security initiatives and enforce DevSecOps best practices.
